Back Up Wrenches retain the opposite side nut or bolt from rotating during torque up - Safer - Faster- Easy.
Designed specifically for high torques due to high torque rotation created on the corresponding nut. We now have a safer solution to prevent the nut from rotating. Previous methods involved using flogging spanners and wedges. This method can be unsafe due possible wedge slippage and unknown forces when releasing them.
Backup spanners allow a hands free procedure. Once the fastener is tight, the spanner can be safely released by backing off the set screw. The locking spanner can then be be removed with no residual load. The back up spanners are magnetic, meaning they remain in position so hands can remain clear of pinch points.
